About the role
We are looking for a driven and curious, client-focused Wastewater and Civil Infrastructure Project Manager in the Puget Sound Region. As a project manager at Jacobs, you will be working with our core group of engineers and designers in the Bellevue, Washington office for clients across the Pacific Northwest region, as well as the opportunity to support our regional and national communities of practice. Your work will focus on wastewater treatment systems but may include work on stormwater, conveyance, and other civil infrastructure projects.
As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging and innovative projects as the Project Manager—planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. You will lead a multidisciplinary design team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development and growth strategies. This position is client-facing and acts as the company’s main point of contact on assigned pursuits and projects. You will also have the opportunity to connect with and work alongside our technical experts across the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of wastewater and civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects and pursuits.
- Support business development and growth strategies in the Pacific Northwest region.
- Collaborate with technical experts across Jacobs to solve complex challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical preferred) or other related degree.
- A minimum of 8 years of directly applicable project or design team management experience.
- Proven experience managing small and large civil infrastructure projects or programs for public and private clients.
- Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies for northwest initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical preferred) or other related degree.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
- Business development experience and a track record of building client relationships.
- Experience in a collaborative delivery environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or demonstrated commensurate project management experience with the ability to obtain PMP within 12 months.
- 10 or more years of direct experience in wastewater treatment systems and other civil infrastructure planning and design.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $119,800.00 to $187,250.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Jacobs empowers employees with a hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
