Wastewater Process Technician

Responsibilities
- Investigate and manage asset flow at our sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment works.
- Ensure performance and compliance are maintained as well as support key capital investment projects aimed at upgrading instrumentation.
- Raise awareness of flow compliance across the team, embedding best practice and coaching others to strengthen overall capability.
- Monitor asset performance against key measures, using data and business intelligence systems to carry out detailed desktop investigations.
- Follow up on-site checks and mechanical inspections to validate findings and ensure data accuracy, documenting outcomes in clear, high-quality reports.
- Work collaboratively to influence and shape ways of working around flow management and compliance, while building technical knowledge of how wastewater assets are controlled and operated.
- Participate in the escalation standby rota to support operational colleagues with issues out of hours.
Requirements
You’ll be working in a variety of environments, carrying out practical tasks to ensure assets are operating effectively, and undertaking fault-finding investigations whenever issues arise. As part of the role you will be required to participate in the standby rota to support operational colleagues with issues out of hours. Candidates who participate in the standby rota, must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the geographical area they are covering or their work depot.

Pay
Starting Salary - £38,080 - £44,800 (depending On Experience)

Full time 37 hours per week plus participation on standby rota
