Responsibilities
- Apply technical analysis, process design, project coordination, and stakeholder communication to help deliver effective wastewater solutions.
- Develop wastewater treatment plans, designs, upgrades, and optimization strategies.
- Assist Project Managers and Process Leads with detailed design, technical deliverables, and coordination tasks for small to large civil infrastructure projects, including wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and collection systems.
- Identify physical, chemical, and biological treatment improvements that enhance efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance.
- Prepare project updates, technical discussions, and compliance-related documentation for clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant wastewater process engineering experience.
- Technical knowledge: Wastewater treatment processes, regulations, technologies, system design, optimization, and compliance documentation.
- Certifications or licenses: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Washington preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for project sites, client meetings, and collaboration with Kennedy Jenks offices.

Pay
Salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $120,000 and $175,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
Schedule
Kennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
