Wastewater Associate

About the role

Assist in all activities associated with the disposal or transfer of wastewater. Reporting to Maintenance Manager. Location: Johnson City, TN. Onsite Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wastewater area ensuring logs are updated and product disposed of properly.
• Add chemicals to disinfect water or other liquids
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis
• Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges
• Collect and test water
• Record meter and gauge readings and operational data
• Operate equipment to purify and clarify water
• Clean and maintain equipment and tanks
• Ensure safety standards are met
• Assist in other departments or areas as needed.
• Conform to all cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

• Three to five years' experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Some knowledge of metric system.
• Punctual and consistent attendance.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work environment & physical requirements

This position requires extended periods of standing and walking on a manufacturing floor environment. Protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gowning) must be worn as required. The role operates in a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required. Must be available to respond to critical shift issues outside of scheduled hours on an as-needed basis.
