About the role

We're looking for a sharp, high-energy Division Manager to take the reins of our Greater Nashville operation. Music City is buzzing with entrepreneurial energy right now, and we want a leader who brings that same hustle, vision, and passion to our team every single day. Our drivers, mechanics, helpers, and office staff are the heartbeat of what we do. Leave the desk behind — we're looking for a leader who loves building teams, mentoring people, and connecting with our local business and city partners. Of course, you'll also need to know your numbers: a rock-solid background in operations and finance, someone who can own a P&L, spot cost savings, and keep hauling logistics running like clockwork.

  • Manage all client support matters.
  • Meet, analyze, and discuss matters with the Regional Vice President.

  • Mentor and develop staff by overseeing department managers to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.
  • Oversee new personnel training (with local HR team) to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Develop the budget and review monthly needs and yearly projections (with the Regional Vice President).
  • Develop cost savings plans.
  • Assist with developing and implementing related annual goals and initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process and control improvements.
  • Implement and oversee special projects.
  • Maintain relationships with municipal staff and develop new relationships for future growth.
  • Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
  • Keep up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Perform any additional job duties assigned by the Regional Vice President.

Qualifications

  • Primary responsibility for support, accounting, and operational procedures at a single division.
  • Accountable for the growth and development of the division's revenue.
  • Accountable for the success and development of division staff.
  • End-of-line manager for all functions at the division level.
  • Build rapport and interact with both internal and external customers including employees, individual businesses, and municipal staff.
  • Work with divisional staff to meet the goals and objectives of the division, region, and corporation.
  • Address issues or concerns with the Regional Vice President.

Preferred experience

Because of the unique safety, routing, and fleet challenges of our business, previous experience in the waste and recycling industry is highly preferred.

Work environment

Mostly office and community based settings. This is a high visibility position and requires a professional yet casual appearance.
