Waste Incinerator Operator

About the role

The States of Guernsey are looking to recruit a Waste Incinerator Operator to join the Property, Technical and Facilities Estates Team. The successful applicant will work with the waste-to-energy plant, as part of the team responsible for the collection, computerised data logging and incineration of all clinical waste produced by any States of Guernsey service and commercial premises.

Responsibilities

• Operate the waste-to-energy plant and associated incineration processes.
• Collect and log clinical waste data using computerised systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks related to the waste incineration facility.
• Perform cleaning duties for the area surrounding the waste-to-energy plant and waste collection vehicles.
