About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Head Coach and support all aspects of the Men’s Basketball program. The Assistant Coach will play a key role in player development, game preparation, recruiting, and program administration while ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing effective practice sessions to enhance individual skills, team cohesion, and overall performance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes to help them reach their full potential on and off the court.
- Support game preparation by scouting opponents, analyzing game footage, and developing game plans.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff to strategize and make in-game adjustments.
- Identify and evaluate potential student-athletes who align with the college’s athletic and academic standards.
- Assist in recruiting by attending high school games, tournaments, and other recruiting events.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and provide support to help them balance academic and athletic responsibilities.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and equipment management.
- Ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
- Stay updated on policy changes that may impact the men’s basketball program.
There will be opportunities for the Assistant Coach to fundraise for a personal stipend.
