About the role

Support warranty initiatives by analyzing data, investigating field-returned components, and assisting with root cause analysis activities.

Responsibilities

• Learn about Dauch products and support warranty investigations related to field performance and customer concerns.
• Analyze customer warranty data to identify trends, track returned components, and monitor warranty metrics including claim volume, labor codes, and cost impacts.
• Absorb product evaluations and assist in investigating product issues by evaluating warranty claims and identifying potential causes of field failures or customer dissatisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout Dauch including Product Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Gear Lab Engineering, Quality, and other technical functions to support problem-solving activities.
• Participate in hands-on evaluation of field-returned components, including product teardowns and failure analysis.
• Document root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Prepare reports and presentations that communicate warranty trends, investigation results, and product performance data to manufacturing facilities and stakeholders.

Requirements

Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree or related field, fulltime at an accredited universityGraduation date of December 2027 or later. 3.0 GPA required. Candidate must be able to work 25 hours a week year round. Must be interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry. Technical / Industrial knowledge and/or experience preferred.
