About the role
This virtual role is responsible for driving warranty performance improvement through strategic leadership, data-driven insights, and strong cross-functional collaboration. The Warranty Analytics and Performance Leader leverages product and warranty data to generate actionable insights that support informed business decisions, strengthen operational execution, and enhance the customer experience. The leader will develop and advance reporting tools, performance frameworks, and data visualizations that promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve warranty performance through aligned metrics, shared insights, and actionable analysis of product and warranty data.
- Define and execute the data strategy for warranty operations, with emphasis on reserve forecasting, accrual processes, and overall performance improvement.
- Partner with finance and actuary to conduct quarterly warranty reserve reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective risk management through data collection, statistical modeling, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Champion data-driven approaches to measuring, monitoring, and reporting warranty performance across the organization.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, performance frameworks, and data visualizations to improve transparency, consistency, and decision support.
- Establish performance goals, projections, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide warranty operations and track progress against business objectives.
- Strengthen dealer and distributor warranty analytics and deliver recurring strategic reports to support field warranty performance managers.
- Lead execution of the annual warranty operating plan, including accrual management and quarterly reserve processes.
- Oversee the annual audit process to ensure compliance with Trane Technologies requirements and external audit standards.
- Collaborate with Product Growth, Quality, and Reliability teams to communicate warranty trends, share insights, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement productivity opportunities that enhance efficiency and deliver measurable warranty performance improvements.
- Manage the systems, tools, and datasets that support the warranty organization and enable effective reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to broader strategic business initiatives and special projects as determined by leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required.
- 5+ years of analytics experience required; relevant HVAC, sales, and/or warranty experience preferred.
- 3+ years of team leadership experience preferred.
- Proficient in analytics tools such as Dataiku, Alteryx, and Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset for warranty policy, processes, and tools.
- Effective collaboration and influence across the organization to drive positive business outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with business leaders across all functional disciplines, including Senior Leadership.
- Detailed knowledge of data management and financial sensitivity.
- Ability to assess the cost/benefit of product changes in terms of productivity and warranty.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
Annual base salary range: $69,600.00 - $124,950.00. This is a salaried role eligible for incentives. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
