About the role
This position is responsible for operating the warping machines in the warping department. The shift is full time, 1st shift, 7AM-7PM.
Responsibilities
- Run yarn onto beams and have knowledge of which specific size beams need to be used.
- Keep the warper running consistently by doffing the beams and fixing end breaks.
- Reload yarn on the creel as needed to keep the warper running.
- Fill out the checklist at the beginning of the shift and check each item with the warper to ensure proper functionality.
- Help in the creels when the need arises or when requested by warping team leader/warping supervisor.
- Keep the area around the warper head and the creel clean and free of trash with excess yarn packages stored in their designated area.
- Let the team leader/supervisor know if any more yarn is needed to complete the creel load.
- Enter the correct data for each beam into the computer while doffing and saving the creel load upon completion to update the inventory.
- Set up the warping machine according to the SOP for the appropriate style.
- Fill out beam related paperwork and make sure it is organized accordingly.
- Perform other duties as requested by the warping team leader/supervisor of warping department.
- Follow all safety and quality standards set forth by the company.
- Lift up to 50lbs as needed.

- Good written & verbal communication skills are somewhat important.
- Low-level decision-making skills are somewhat important.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work well without close supervision are very important.
- Basic mathematical ability is very important.
- Good analysis/problem-solving skills are important.
