About the role
We are seeking a motivated Wargame Developer to join our team, focusing on modernizing wargaming for senior military leaders.
Responsibilities
- Designing and evolving physical player aids into interactive digital interfaces.
- Developing, maintaining, and archiving simulation databases using government tools to support tabletop and digital exercises.
- Creating interfaces for modeling and simulation tools, translating complex outputs into actionable insights for decision makers.
- Bridging analog and digital environments, promoting new tool utilization for digital maturity.
- Supporting analysts in capturing decision data and telemetry for post-game analysis.
- Collaborating with designers to refine game mechanics reflecting Marine Corps capabilities and leading testing and evaluation processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years' experience in wargaming, military modeling, or operations; or 10+ years' experience without degree.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn and operate new simulation software.
- Experience developing player-facing products and manuals.
Preferred Skills
- Experience transitioning from tabletop to digital environments.
- Familiarity with government simulation tools like AFSIM or Command PE.
- Support experience with Marine Corps or federal wargaming entities.
- Research skills for game fidelity data collection and collaboration with intelligence branches.
- Knowledge of government and commercial game engines.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Willingness to perform occasional manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain stationary for periods of time.
