Warehouseperson - USW

About the role

This position will perform various functions relating to the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, courteous service to both internal and external customers
• Performs duties such as issuing and staging requested material, receiving and stocking ordered material, loading and unloading material, cycle counting material, and performing all necessary associated system transactions
• Provides assistance to personnel from all departments in obtaining necessary material
• Demonstrates a high standard of safety and is willing and able to comply with all safety regulations and Company safety policies

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Certified under the Operator Qualifications requirements
• Knowledge of gas distribution materials and proper procedures for receiving, issuing and handling those materials
• Knowledge of utilities industry terminology
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact appropriately with others
• Ability to operate normal office equipment, including personal computer, facsimile and copier
• Ability to operate all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks

Physical Demands, Environment and Schedule

• Normal work environment - work is normally performed inside, but may be exposed to inclement weather conditions in certain situations
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent walking and standing
• Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force
• Work hours in accordance to job bid sheet
• Overtime and/or travel based on business needs
