Warehouseperson - USW
About the role
This position will perform various functions relating to the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, courteous service to both internal and external customers
- Performs duties such as issuing and staging requested material, receiving and stocking ordered material, loading and unloading material, cycle counting material, and performing all necessary associated system transactions
- Provides assistance to personnel from all departments in obtaining necessary material
- Demonstrates a high standard of safety and is willing and able to comply with all safety regulations and Company safety policies

Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Certified under the Operator Qualifications requirements
- Knowledge of gas distribution materials and proper procedures for receiving, issuing and handling those materials
- Knowledge of utilities industry terminology
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact appropriately with others
- Ability to operate normal office equipment, including personal computer, facsimile and copier
- Ability to operate all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
Physical Demands, Environment and Schedule
- Normal work environment - work is normally performed inside, but may be exposed to inclement weather conditions in certain situations
- Lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent walking and standing
- Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force
- Work hours in accordance to job bid sheet
- Overtime and/or travel based on business needs
