Warehouseman

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of warehouse functions while rotating through receiving, stocking, replenishments, and special handling and warehouse operations.
• Receive incoming shipments of supplies from outside vendors; verify accuracy of items and quantities in relation to packing slip.
• Stock warehouse shelves with inventory.
• Operate forklifts, stand-up lifts, and other warehouse equipment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Adjust storage space assignments to handle daily flow of finished product.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform a variety of tasks as required.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or other software requested by the department.
• Basic knowledge of shipping and warehousing.
• Ability to count, read and write numbers, and read packing slips.
• Attention to detail and ability to find and correct errors.
• Ability to take instruction, follow direction, and meet productivity standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, using appropriate lifting techniques and tools.
