Position Summary
The Warehouse/Yard Attendant is responsible for the loading and unloading of all incoming and outgoing materials. They are responsible for internal departmental material movements on-site and the receipt of material and material movement within the warehouse. The role involves effectively managing computer systems in accordance with the organization's policies and the safe and efficient use of all material handling equipment.
Key Results Areas
- Quality – Complete and accurate work performed efficiently
- Production quality and efficiency using appropriate tools and equipment, qualified to perform special processes as needed.
- Ensures material paperwork in accordance with the organization's policies.
- Successfully operates electric and gas powered forklifts in a safe efficient manner.
- Proficient in operation of all material handling equipment.
- Able to backfill day-to-day transactions and inquiries involving the inventory analyst position.
- Follows instructions – oral and/or written
- Maintains a clean work area with no clutter.
- Maintain outside yard areas and warehouse by cleaning where needed.
- Practices safety at all times while at work.
- Follows safety policies and procedures and speaks up when others are non-compliant.
- Wears all safety equipment for area of work.
- Continual Improvement suggestions
- Keeps an open mind to others continuous improvement suggestions
- Bring continuous improvement suggestions to the appropriate team member.

Requirements
- Education and Training: High school GED
- Experience: 2 years of on the job experience in lieu of formal education.
- Other: Must be willing to work overtime as required. Local travel may be required.

Physical and Mental Demands
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend.
- Required to speak and communicate clearly with others.
- May be required to move items up to 60 pounds for distances of up to 10 feet.
- Mental demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to read, write, analyze data and reports, exercise judgment, develop plans, procedures and goals, present information to others and work under pressure.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is also exposed to high level of manufacturing and equipment noise. Duties are performed indoors and outdoors in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes. Exposure to hazardous materials, fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts with vibration.
