Warehouse Worker Parts Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stockpicker/cherrypicker
• Perform heavy lifting
• Use computer and company software (MDC, MSC, HVTNET)
• Use a scanner
• Receive parts, locate and store parts, process receiving reports
• Maintain a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards
• Handle manual material handling of furniture within the distribution facility
• Move furniture from racks and unload/load trucks

Requirements

• Heavy lifting required (up to 100 lbs)
• Good customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Complete and understand all company-sponsored safety programs
• Must comply with Havertys safety requirements
• Good communication skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift
• Team player
• Pass criminal background check, lifting assessment, and drug test (including testing for THC)
• Successfully complete a physical assessment
• Stand for extended periods and operate various equipment (e.g., cherry pickers, tugger)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying shipments
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly receiving area
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Work Environment

• Warehouse setting
• Must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms
• Steel-toed work boots/shoes required
• Safety gear when applicable

Pay

$17.00 per hour based upon experience

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - Completion
