About the role
The Warehouse Lead Worker is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock/product, preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, and performing inventory and quality controls. May oversee or delegate responsibilities within the warehouse operation. Essential functions vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Receive products and merchandise, checking for quality and damage, and ensure proper storage
- Perform transfers of products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse
- Process requests for supplies, prepare merchandise for delivery, and package items for shipping according to established procedures
- Schedule and assign daily work assignments to a team and oversee task completion
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Perform physical inventory as needed
- Ensure security of company assets
- Adapt to changing job duties or new assignments as needed
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience
- Experience in a supervisor or related role preferred
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Adherence to basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Physical Demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $20.30.
