Schedule
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or until work is complete), Monday-Friday. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
About the Role
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution environment, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, demand, and supply planning.
Responsibilities
- Unload trucks in the Inbound section using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to remove pallets from trucks.
- Use the Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products; follow regulations for storing refrigerated specialty products.
- Store products in warehouse locations using order pickers or other devices.
- Pick products from warehouse locations and load them into outbound trucks.
Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift.
- Comfort working at heights of 20-30 feet regularly.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience preferred.
- Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime with little or no advance notice.
- Ability to follow directions, change priorities, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Aptitude to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly performance standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
- Adhere to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed safety shoes) and material handling equipment safety harness.
- Accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
