Warehouse Worker - Bakery Feeder - Overnight
About the role
Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join their team. Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, outgoing, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Partially working in a temperature-controlled environment between 34 – 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Standing and moving throughout the shift, bending, reaching, pushing, and walking.
- Loading and unloading full and empty bakery carts.
- Staging bakery carts by wave, route, and stop.
- Emptying and cleaning bakery carts.
- Stacking Cambro strays onto Cambro carts.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and push/pull 50 lbs. or more (on wheels).
- Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies.
- Performing other duties as assigned, such as stamping/coding product, trailer loading/offloading (no PIT required), and general warehouse clean-up.
Qualifications
- No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
- Independent work ability, customer service skills, multi-tasking, organizational skills, flexibility, excellent with numbers, and time management skills required.
- Flexible to work overtime.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility, and time management skills required.
- Willingness to work the required schedule and location.
- Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
Physical Requirements
The associate will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines, or other information. The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.

Pay
$21.64 per hour
