About the role

The Warehouse Worker receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Foreman, with duties assigned according to specific procedures and frequent work checks.

Responsibilities

• Stores, removes, loads, and unloads materials from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles that cannot be handled by material handling devices.
• Operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves.
• Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences (e.g., size, type, style, or color).
• Moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares them for delivery.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items.
• Records material items received or distributed and may maintain inventory records.
• Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain the work area.
• Completes additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass a post-offer drug screen and sign the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol, and Contraband Policy.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
• Computer literacy (Google Workspace).
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• No per diem available; local candidates only.

Physical Involvement

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc., above and below ground level.
• Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
• Reaching in all directions.
• Handling and manipulating objects and materials.
• Coordinating eye, hand, and finger movements to operate tools and equipment.
• Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
• Carrying objects, tools, and equipment.
• Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and crouching/squatting.
• Seeing and hearing with or without correction.
• Wearing respirators and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Using step stools.
• Working in excessive heat, cold, or loud environments.
