About the role

The Warehouse Worker will perform tasks to load, unload, and move materials and parts within the manufacturing facility while maintaining inventory accuracy and collaborating with production staff.

Responsibilities

  • Fill work orders and distribute materials or stock items to production workers.
  • Utilize forklifts or manually unload materials to/from pallets, racks, and shelves.
  • Receive materials into the inventory management system and place them at the proper location within the production system.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct monthly cycle counts via weekly audits of the MRD system.
  • Work on projects to improve visual re-order points for MRD materials.
  • Update expedite communications boards throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and process non-conforming materials accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Licensed forklift operator or ability to become licensed.
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of "point of use" inventory, "pull" systems, and NPD processes is a plus.
  • Proficient with computers; Excel skills preferred.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Able to work overtime and/or weekends as production schedules dictate.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills with production operations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a business system.

Working Conditions

  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing production environment.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with noise (75 decibels, using 25 decibel earplugs).
  • Must be on your feet on concrete for 90% of the shift and walk up to 75% of the time.
  • Must be able to climb 13ft using 12-inch rung ladders.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40lbs and carry that weight 5ft.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and crouch.

Pay

Competitive wages starting at $21.50 per hour.
