Warehouse Worker

About the role

Full-time position receiving, inventorying, and shipping a variety of metal shapes and plates. Reports to the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with customers and vendors
• Load customer vehicles safely
• Grind and clean parts to a satisfactory condition
• Read micrometers and set up/operate saws
• Load and unload trucks and racks using forklift or overhead crane
• Clean equipment, machinery, and work areas
• Tie product in bundles for further processing or shipment following prescribed procedures
• Examine product to verify conformance to company standards
• Mark correct information on material to properly identify it per current process
• Read and understand work orders, work instructions, and other types of paperwork
• Identify materials by type, size, and grade
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good math skills and ability to read/understand foot/inch/fractions down to 1/32 of an inch
• Excellent measuring skills
• Computer skills
• Able to lift 80 lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders
• Dependable and regular attendance

Work Environment

• Factory setting with hot and cold temperatures and noisy conditions

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with flexible hours, overtime, and occasional Saturdays.
