About The Job

This position loads bulk and van trailers, fills containers, conducts warehouse work including shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks & rail cars
• Operate motorized lifts
• Handle, label, and fill containers
• Test products to ensure high quality product is made to customer
• Maintain/monitor area standards for cleanliness and operation
• Perform inventory counts
• Participate in emergency response
• Prepare hazardous materials for DOT shipment
• Batch Blending
• IBC washing/reconditioning
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a chemical operator or equivalent experience required
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) complex and/or technical operations and procedures in terms easily understood by non-technical operators required
• Ability to safely operate an industrial fork truck required
• Ability to comply with all mandatory Environmental, Health, & Safety and process specific training and participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team in Level A PPE required
• Ability to achieve and maintain 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification required
• Ability to lift 50-100 sacks and supersacks on a regular basis required
• Ability to adjust to work schedule, including weekends and on-call, to meet business need
• Minimum of 6 months of previous MRP or ERP experience preferred; prior JD Edwards experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, reaching, and pulling
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs and ladders
• Ability to wear PPE and equipment such as safety shoes, face shields, safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, gloves and a hard hat; chemical suits and a hair/beard net when required
• Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift when required
• Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements (for respirator use, SQF-certified environments, etc.)
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Willing to work around chemicals and industrial machinery

Pay

$32.40/hr.

Schedule

7:00am-3:30pm with a rotation of 8:30am-5:00pm for a month once trained.
