Warehouse Worker

About the role

Works in the warehouse, completes deliveries, and provides customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drives Boys Town vehicle to pick up and deliver material, large furniture, appliances, and equipment on and off campus.
• Uses a forklift to load and unload incoming orders, stocks incoming merchandise, and pulls and packs stock orders.
• Provides customer service for walk-ins, deliveries, and product pick-up.
• Completes minor assembly and disassembly of household and office items and rearranges offices, classrooms, and homes.
• Completes order input as needed.
• Cross-trains with and provides occasional back-up support to Mail Processing Worker.
• Works in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure supplies needed are on hand.
• Conducts par and cycle counts, as prescribed; participates in annual inventory physical count.
• Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience including warehouse and/or delivery required.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
• Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.
• Ability to drive an 18-foot straight truck or similar vehicle.
• Moderate to heavy physical activity, including frequent handling of objects up to 75 pounds and occasionally heavier.
• Some standing, walking, and sitting at a keyboard, workstation, or desk.
• Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform warehouse work including shipping and receiving.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate in an articulate manner.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
