About the Role
A Trainer in the Returns department is responsible for training associates in all Returns functions. As the face of NRI, you will train warehouse team members, focusing on delivering outstanding team member experience, best practices, safety, and SOP compliance. You will mentor new employees, foster team spirit, and contribute to the development of the training program.
Success in this role means being an accessible, approachable, and patient individual who actively listens and adapts training delivery to engage learners effectively. Creativity in explaining topics and the ability to provide constructive feedback are key.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Pay
Starting base wage: $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate training for new hires and existing employees, ensuring consistency in delivery and evaluation.
- Coach, counsel, and inspire employees to meet and exceed performance metrics.
- Assess skill and knowledge gaps to aid in creating and updating training programs, including SOP changes and continuous improvement projects.
- Exhibit positive communication and team-building skills to maintain a professional training environment.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures; report unsafe activities to supervisors or the Safety Manager.
- Maintain training logs and documentation.
- Keep work and storage areas safe, clean, and tidy.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- 12+ months of training experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with or willingness to learn Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., standing/walking for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, and cold.
- Ability to read and comprehend English.

- Fast learner capable of mastering multiple departments and training in each.
- Understanding of how to write and/or read an SOP.
- Patience and adaptability to accommodate different learning styles.
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback confidentially.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with all levels of the organization, including new hires.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities.
- Trustworthy and moral character (pre-employment background and drug tests are required).
