Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Preference given to students attending Topeka Public Schools

Physical & Emotional Requirements

The incumbent may be required to use the following during any part of the working day:

• Regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Help with receiving, in-checking, and stocking textbooks
• Sorting, shelving, and moving books and other materials
• Lifting, carrying, and moving books/boxes
• Using a two-wheel dolly
• Counting and labeling textbooks
• Filling orders/requests
• Palletizing and shrink-wrapping
