Warehouse Technician - Battle Mtn. Rebuild Shop

About the role

Small Mine Development builds and operates Americas underground mines. Our mission is to be the leader in safe, productive and innovative mining solutions. We are seeking motivated self-starters who can work safely while ensuring production goals are met. This position is based at the Battle Mountain Rebuild Shop.

Pay

Competitive hourly wage (depending on experience) plus safety bonus.

Schedule

8 days on / 6 days off, 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and entry
• Provide support to the Customer Service Representative (CSR) with processes involving revolving components
• Wash and prepare components for shipment
• Dispatch parts runners to remote sites to fulfill deliveries and pick-ups when CSR is not present
• Filing (electronic and hard copy)
• Support Purchaser by placing and receiving orders as needed
• Parts procurement by way of sourcing, ordering, receiving and issuing accordingly
• Process new inventory and parts returns
• Perform cycle counts and corrections
• Operate multiple models of forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts
• Operate power tools to build pallets to correct specifications
• Hazard recognition and mitigation
• Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections on equipment

Requirements

• Work with a safety-first mindset and maintain situational awareness at all times
• Possess a current driver's license and have an insurable driving record
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to professionally communicate (oral/written) and interact effectively with others
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions
• Competence with a computer, printer, and scanner
• Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Exceptional workplace housekeeping habits
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Skills

• Previous warehousing experience (beneficial, not required)
• Forklift operating experience (beneficial, not required)
