Warehouse Team Member - Frog Furnishings

Transportation and Inventory Management

• Transport raw materials and other items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck.
• Maintain warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of raw materials, finished goods, hardware, etc.

Inventory Management

• Read pick tickets to determine materials needed for order preparation.
• Notify supervisor of low inventory supply.
• Periodically take inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies in storage as assigned.

Assistance with Assembly

• Absorb basic assembly of components and/or cutting, drilling, and routering of lumber, bases or supports as needed.

Clean Up and Housekeeping

• Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to operate various hand tools and equipment.
• Must be able to operate a manual and powered pallet jack and the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
• Works in a work environment that is usually moderate to loud.
