Warehouse Team Lead

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to meet daily productivity and quality goals.
• Cook up and prioritize warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping products.
• Ensure the safe, accurate, and timely handling of goods in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and perform regular stock checks.
• Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Enforce safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide feedback to team members and offer solutions for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily activity logs, inventory reports, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Aid in the planning and execution of special projects, such as seasonal peaks or inventory audits.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification and experience is a plus.

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional certifications in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, lift, move and/or carry up to 50lbs.
• Ability to frequently reach overhead.
• Ability to frequently stoop, bend and kneel.
