Warehouse Team Lead

About the role

As a Fulfillment Center Team Lead at Encompass’s 100k‑square‑foot, state‑of‑the‑art facility, you will support the daily operations of a designated area within a fast‑paced distribution environment. You’ll guide associates, coordinate tasks, and ensure productivity and quality standards are met while fostering a positive, safety‑first team culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in executing daily operational plans and meeting performance targets.
• Provide direction and support to warehouse associates during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor workstations and processes to identify bottlenecks or issues and escalate to the Supervisor as needed.
• Support training and onboarding of new associates, reinforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Promote a safe and clean work environment by ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
• Perform quality checks and assist with resolving minor inventory or order discrepancies.
• Communicate shift updates, changes, and expectations clearly to team members.
• Track attendance and performance concerns and report them to the Supervisor for follow‑up.
• Act as a liaison between associates and leadership to maintain morale and address concerns.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or prior experience in a lead or mentor role.
• Basic proficiency with warehouse systems and tools (e.g., RF scanners, WMS).
• Reliable, enthusiastic team player who is eager to help out when needed.
• Strong accuracy and speed, taking pride in getting the job done right.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in English (verbal & written).
• Experience operating a forklift and willingness to be certified on an order picker.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
