Responsibilities
- Follow shipment procedures and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Ensure all Forklift Operators are trained in procedures and follow them.
- Delegate and coordinate work responsibilities among Forklift Operators.
- Provide proper training for new hires.
- Maintain knowledge of inventory locations and warehouse policies.
- Oversee dock and forklift/clamp truck operations.
- Enforce safety protocols and warehouse golden rules.
- Communicate effectively with other Warehouse Team Leads to ensure department efficiency.
- Prepare finished products for shipment, checking for damages and count accuracy.
- Print Bills of Lading.
- Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards in all warehouse areas.
- Ensure staffing availability and escalate to the warehouse supervisor as needed.
- Adhere to performance metrics including safety observations, warehouse inspections, and shipment accuracy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator preferred.
- Certified Forklift Operator.
- Computer skills.
