Warehouse Support Associate

Ryder is hiring Warehouse Associates in Ladson, South Carolina. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that supports personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Pack, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
• Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
• Help train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensure the facility is secure at the end of each shift; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping concerns.
• Perform picking and packing duties.
• Check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location’s policies and procedures.
• Participate in workgroups and other team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related warehouse experience.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Intermediate ability to operate powered industrial trucks, such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues).
• May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line).

Qualifications

• Intermediate required to read, do basic mathematics in English for the purpose of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS computer system (s) in use.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.

Skills

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour.
• Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to 2nd shift.

Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM or until work is completed.
• Monday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM or until work is completed.
