About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and profitability of the location. Reporting to Mark Harmon, this role involves assisting the Location Manager in coordinating operations and controlling expenses. The supervisor is responsible for training and directing employees, maintaining inventory levels, and managing the bagging process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and facilitate repair of facility infrastructure.
- Assist the Location Manager in dispatching of products and services.
- Monitor and control location expenses.
- Maintain inventory levels within guidelines.
- Control inventory shrinkage.
- Lead and assist in the efficient bagging of turf materials in a safe manner.
- Schedule and perform equipment repairs in response to requests from the Location Manager.
- Manage all materials and merchandise with appropriate care.
- Utilize automated bagging systems and related robotics.
- Schedule maintenance and repairs of equipment as requested.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Document service records of each piece of equipment to ensure a quality maintenance program.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean.
- Adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years or more of related work experience.
- Skills in fabrication, cutting, welding, and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair.
- Business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
- A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- An acceptable CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards.
- Ability to work extended hours, travel independently, and work at varying heights.
