About the role

This position will supervise and coordinate activities of Warehouse Associates and Department Leads engaged in all forms of warehouse activity, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Department Leads and assist with overall warehouse responsibilities within assigned shift
  • Assist with warehouse staffing including the hiring and termination processing
  • Monitor budgeted expenses
  • Ensure each department within the shift has the direction needed to complete daily tasks
  • Work with Department Leads and Warehouse Associates to resolve any issues or conflicts
  • Oversee all warehouse operations in absence of Warehouse Manager
  • Responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse and report all activity to the Warehouse Manager
  • Follow all safety rules and company policies and ensure adherence by all personnel in the department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in shipping in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 years’ experience in a Lead Role
  • High School Diploma
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments
  • Strong communication skills within a team setting
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, reach above shoulders, perform fine repetitive motion, bend, stoop, climb ladder
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in a manufacturing-related field

Working Conditions

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment
  • May sit for several hours at a time
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment, ability to tolerate a variable climate
  • Occasionally lifting 30-75 pounds

Schedule

This is a full-time, 2nd shift, salary position. Hours and days of work are decided by production schedules and reporting manager.
