Warehouse Storeroom Attendant

Ryder is hiring an Inventory Associate in Memphis, TN to support distribution across the United States in a safe supply‑chain environment. The role involves handling CPE (modems) and pallets using state‑of‑the‑art equipment such as pallet jacks, two‑wheelers, RF scanners, and computers.

Pay

Weekly hourly pay of $17 per hour.

Schedule

First Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (0‑10% travel).

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
• Audit inbound and outbound shipments
• Participate in physical inventories as necessary
• Provide floor support to operation supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
• Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with an emphasis on safety
• Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of previous warehouse experience
• Clean driving record and personal vehicle; ability to travel 25‑50% of the day
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications
• Strong technical aptitude, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, RF scanners, and data entry into a WMS system
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Capability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
• Skill in recognizing and reading location, date, and product codes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility and self‑driven attitude in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) – beginner level
• May be required to be equipment certified and hold safety‑sensitive position qualifications, depending on location
