Warehouse Specialist
About the role
The Warehouse Specialist maintains key department experience and knowledge requiring unique skills and training. This role involves specific areas within the facility such as receiving, production, inventory control, and administration. Responsibilities include assisting in employee training, ensuring SOP adherence, supporting new process rollouts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement while promoting a team-oriented, safe, and clean working environment.
Responsibilities
- Cross-train in all departments to perform multiple distribution-related functions, allowing assignment across various tasks as business needs require.
- Work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment and interact with leadership and work groups to share task-related information.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and display a positive team spirit.
- Monitor production, resolve problems by identifying barriers, and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
- Drive Lean culture and support continuous improvement initiatives for distribution processes.
- Train new hires and retrain team associates, ensuring SOP rollouts and training completion.
- Communicate new processes and procedures effectively, including group and individual training.
- Demonstrate commitment to company core values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse, distribution, or supply chain experience.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using the English language.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication).
- Knowledge of personal computer (PC) operation.
- Ability to operate power/mobile equipment; may require additional training or certification.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly, up to 150 pounds infrequently.
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, and perform fine manipulation of equipment throughout work hours.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, though infrequently.
- Must be able to perform duties typically performed by associates they lead.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule is a plus (e.g., early starts or staying until work is complete).
- Exhibited strong job performance, teamwork, attendance, quality, and productivity.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $18.50/hour to $22.00/hour, with adjustments made to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws.
