Key Responsibilities
- Use RF scanners for order picking and kitting steel and component parts specific to jobs.
- Process warehouse parts into inventory and perform cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies found during cycle counts.
- Organize parts for efficient stocking and restock production lines as needed.
- Prepare products for domestic and international shipping, including crating, shrink-wrapping, banding, and processing shipping paperwork.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Count and verify shipping contents for accuracy and damage.
- Run and manage daily reports as directed by the supervisor.
- Assist in training new team members and support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Lean activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively via email and in person to address issues and support team goals.
- Adapt to changing priorities and contribute positively to the work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse receiving experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred; certification process provided.
- Ability to safely operate strapping/banding equipment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without interpreter assistance.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team.
