About the role
Partner with retail team members in a high-energy, fast-paced environment to perform a variety of critical supply chain responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Sort items on a conveyor belt and load the items from machines to totes, carts, gaylord’s and dollies in a timely manner.
- Places non-sellable merchandise in the appropriate waste containers.
- Maintains a pace at which one is able to meet daily quota for pieces processed.
- Follows good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the manager on duty.
- Keeps the work area clean and organized at all times.
- Assist with warehouse cleanup/organizing as needed.
- Maintains a professional appearance adhering to Goodwill uniform standards.
- Provides excellent service to Goodwill’s donors and retail customers.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with other associates.
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours - per 8 hour shift).
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
