Position Summary
The Loader is responsible for properly loading all orders onto a trailer, ensuring correct placement of cooler/freezer items, cigarettes/tobacco products, and other miscellaneous goods, while maintaining accurate scanning and load security.
Responsibilities
- Properly load all orders on the trailer, including placement of cooler/freezer items, cigarettes/tobacco products, and other miscellaneous goods in order of deliveries, and scan products onto the truck.
- Secure the load, monitor freezer temperatures, and use wrap to secure all pallets.
- Make room on the back of the trailer for drivers' access.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or 2+ years warehouse experience.
- 18 years or older.
- Walk/stand for 8 or more hours daily.
- Must be able to operate pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Must be able to lift 75 lb +.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl to reach freight.
- Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to push up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to pull up to 35 pounds.
- Sitting and standing for long periods, with general bending and twisting associated with lifting.
- Local travel may be requested on occasion.
