Warehouse Shipping Associate

About the role

The Shipping Coordinator role is available in Lithia Springs, GA. This position is part of a strong and continuously evolving team dedicated to growing the business. Key responsibilities include operating an order-picker to retrieve and ship stocked merchandise, preparing orders for shipping, stacking and wrapping merchandise on pallets, checking packing lists for accuracy, inspecting merchandise for damage, loading palletized merchandise onto various freight line carriers' trucks, managing shipping vendor returns, maintaining records of outbound shipments, and frequently inspecting material handling equipment to report any mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate an order/cherry picker to retrieve stock
• Prepare orders for shipping
• Stack and wrap merchandise on pallets
• Check the packing list against the merchandise for accuracy
• Inspect merchandise for damage
• Load palletized merchandise on various freight line carriers’ trucks
• Manage shipping vendor returns
• Maintain records of outbound shipments
• Frequently inspect material handling equipment to report any mechanical issues

Requirements

• Ability to learn and operate an ERP system
• Ability to operate and complete a tow motor, order/cherry-picker, and electric pallet jack
• Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs; ability to pull 2200 lbs using a pallet jack and pull or push 200 lbs using a two-wheeler
• Able to stand and be in motion at all times
• Flexible enough to walk, twist, bend, stoop, pull, grip, and lift merchandise
• Warehouse experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
