Warehouse Shipping and Receiving

Responsibilities

• Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink‑wrap each pallet to ensure secure handling of heavy materials.
• Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed.
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data.
• Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record‑keeping unit.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide instructions for loading products.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
• Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of warehouse experience required.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with a tablet or iPad.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally. Frequent walking, standing, and occasional sitting are required. The employee must regularly lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Close vision is required. This is a safety‑sensitive position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM; three Saturdays per month, 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Pay

This hourly, non‑exempt position pays $18.75 – $21.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 × the base rate. New hires typically earn between $47,000 and $62,600 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
