Warehouse Shipper/Receiver M-F (10 am-7:30 pm)- $16.25/hr.

We are currently searching for a Shipper/Receiver to be based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this person will be responsible for safely loading/unloading, wrapping, and preparing finished product for shipments and pickups.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks.
• Package and unpack all products, components, assemble sections, and fill orders so they are ready for shipment.
• Operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
• Assemble containers, crates, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Review orders to determine loading layout on trucks.
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks.
• Plan daily shipments on our truck.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
• Determine method of shipment and prepare bills of lading for shipping, invoicing, and other shipping documents when orders are picked.
• Maintain internal record-keeping systems.
• Call customers to arrange for delivery of orders.
• Perform monthly inventory counts on conduit pipe.
• Re-bundle damaged conduit.
• Know safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.
• Know proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods.
• Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), machine guarding/bypassing safety controls, Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols, OSHA, and safety policies.
• Follow all other Atkore policies, such as Respect and Harassment, Workplace Violence, and maintaining a Free Workplace of Drug and Alcohol.
• Able to work overtime hours as per the business’s needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED.
• One to three (1–3) years of experience working as a Forklift Operator; certification is preferred (training will be provided).
• Ability to perform simple math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and taking measurements.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Able to daily use hand-tools, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Within 3 months, you’ll complete any required training.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders for this role.
• Become well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role in daily operations.

Pay

As of the date of this posting, the pay for this position is $16.25 per hour. Placement depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
