What You’ll Be Doing

As a Shipping and Receiving clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Shipping and Receiving clerk will have a direct impact on our Logistics group, responsible for:

  • Preparing, packaging, and labeling items for shipment while ensuring proper documentation, such as shipping labels, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, or discrepancies and promptly reporting any issues.
  • Updating inventory systems to reflect received and shipped items, maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing shipping schedules to meet customer and production needs.
  • Working closely with internal teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all shipping and receiving activities and preparing reports as required.
  • Following all company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.

  • A proactive approach to resolving shipment or inventory issues.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and shipping software.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, shipping instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Employee must be able to lift to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
