Job Description: Customer Support 1 Job Type: Temporary / Seasonal Number of Positions: 28 Location: Sacramento, California Job Overview We are seeking Customer Support Representatives to provide accurate, timely, and efficient customer support with general supervision. In this role, you will respond to customer inquiries, research and resolve issues, process transactions and documentation, and help customers understand available products, services, and solutions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple systems and priorities simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Respond to routine and complex inquiries from members, clients, providers, and internal and external business partners through phone, in-person, email, and internet channels.Provide accurate information regarding prescriptions, plans, products, services, and procedures, as applicable to the assigned line of business.Assist with online purchasing, e-commerce, internet-related inquiries, payment processing, payment collections, and eligibility verification.Research order status, shipping status, and stock availability.Complete required documentation, letters, forms, and other processing accurately and efficiently.Participate in quality assurance testing for software and systems.Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues and complaints while determining appropriate resolutions.Handle non-routine situations and develop solutions when standard procedures do not apply.Educate and assist customers and prospective customers regarding the value and benefits of available products, services, and solutions.Identify customer trends and communicate observations, potential corrections, changes, or solutions to appropriate business partners and leaders.Escalate situations that may have broader organizational impact.Maintain established customer service and support standards for the assigned line of business.Stay current on changes to policies, procedures, products, services, and solutions.Depending on the assigned line of business, attend benefit fairs, open enrollment meetings, and client meetings and provide information to attendees. Occasional overnight travel may be required.Depending on business needs, support Sales Representatives with customer-order inquiries or serve as an initial point of contact for Sales Representatives.Depending on business needs and workflow fluctuations, process claims. Qualifications 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably handling moderate to complex customer inquiries in a call center, insurance, manufacturing, software, telecommunications, retail, or eyewear environment.Ability to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts.Demonstrated knowledge of the internet and basic web browser settings.Ability to work with multiple software programs simultaneously.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage incoming calls and inquiries.Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document customer situations clearly and prepare letters confirming agreements.Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.Ability to ask relevant questions to identify customer needs.Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.Ability to exercise appropriate discretion and judgment when applying customer and call-handling guidelines.Ability to listen, process transactions, and interact with customers simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements If this position performs third-party administrator (TPA) payment-processing functions, candidates may be subject to a credit check.
