Warehouse Security Officer

About the role

This Warehouse Security Officer position combines guard house duties with warehouse site security. You will monitor the premises, conduct patrols, manage access control for trucks, record refrigerator temperatures, and provide customer service to site personnel and visitors. As a Securitas Security Officer, you help maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the premises, preserving order, enforcing site regulations, and reporting activities and incidents. Responsibilities

• Walk a mile during each shift as part of foot patrols
• Record refrigerator temperatures
• Conduct foot patrols of the warehouse and surrounding areas
• Handle access control: process trucks in and out of the site
• Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned client site
• Provide security and safety for client property and personnel
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for the site
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and visitors

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Composite boots required
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
• Must meet and maintain all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards
• Physical requirements:
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods
  • Climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain
  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 10 pounds
  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds
• No prior security experience necessary; retail, food service, or hospitality background is a plus (training provided)

Schedule

Full-time, Friday through Tuesday, 06:00–14:00

Pay

$17.25 per hour, paid weekly
