About the role
Join our team in our Portland, OR Division and Hub operations by receiving and fulfilling customer orders, including shipments to our other branches. Get Forklift certified and training on specialty warehouse equipment. Learn the foundation of our company, have the support and opportunity to move into a Delivery driver, Customer Service Representative, Sales, or Management position. Enjoy your personal time with friends/family by having a consistent and reliable schedule 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. M-F with opportunity for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in reviewing customer orders and pulling stock in the warehouse and stage by delivery route bays.
- We will train you to operate the Commercial cutting machine.
- Drive a forklift, cherry picker, stretch wrapper and operate electric pallet jacks.
- Palletize customer orders.
- Have pride in your work area by keeping the warehouse organized and clean.
- Your safety is important and proper safety procedures should be followed.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds with team lift on an occasional basis.
- Basic math, understanding of measuring systems, and basic reading and writing skills.
- Professional conduct while interacting with vendors, other company employees, and customers.
- Meet company and regulatory safety requirements.
- Move stock using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
Qualifications
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds with team lift on an occasional basis.
- Basic math, understanding of measuring systems, and basic reading and writing skills.
- Professional conduct while interacting with vendors, other company employees, and customers.
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Can work without direct supervision. Having warehouse knowledge is preferred. Meet company and regulatory safety requirements. Move stock using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
