About the role
We are seeking a Warehouse Route Driver to join our Warshauer Electric Supply team in Tinton Falls, NJ. This position features a Monday to Friday schedule, paid holidays, and paid time off, allowing you to enjoy weekends at home.
Responsibilities
- Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and maintenance; report repair or service needs to supervisor.
- Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
- Load and unload vehicle, ensuring all materials for each order are correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
- Assist in preparing orders for delivery as needed.
- Complete all delivery documentation thoroughly, including customer-signed delivery receipts, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests.
- Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition, verify quantities, and confirm catalog numbers.
- Pick up materials from company suppliers.
- Senior Truck Drivers will train and mentor entry-level drivers.
- Support other warehouse duties such as order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must attend company driver training if lacking prior experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record reviews.
- Must obtain a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
- No suspended driver’s license due to traffic accidents/violations in the past 3 years.
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Skills
- Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not exceeding 26,000 GVW.
- Strong problem-solving skills for basic issues.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Schedule
Shift: 7 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
