About the role

Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury global destination gaming resort situated on the waterfront along the Mystic River and connected to Boston Harbor. It features 671 hotel rooms with sweeping views of the Boston skyline and Boston Harbor, an ultra-premium spa, luxury retail, high-end dining, and state-of-the-art ballroom and meeting spaces. The warehouse retail tagger position ensures tagging procedures are followed and handles merchandise sorting, ticketing, and labeling.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Responsible for detail receiving all merchandise onto the retail system and process relevant paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Sort, ticket, and label merchandise according to department standards.
  • Maintain processes, scheduling, and supporting department team members and maximizing opportunities for departmental success.
  • Maintain all Encore Standards.
  • Ensure excellent guest and team member experience.
  • Use daily applications: WM, smart term, UPS world ship, FED-EX, and other related delivery programs.
  • Raise any concerns or issues and take appropriate action in a sensitive and timely manner.
  • Detail receive all inbound merchandise.
  • Quality control, PO input, ticketing, packing and shipping to retail store.
  • Clean and maintain the appearance of all merchandise and customer areas.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and their requests quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all customer gifts are wrapped and presented in accordance with company guidelines and ensure the highest level of service is delivered.
  • Assist other departments with requirements they may have pertinent to hotel guests.
  • Work with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standards.
  • Maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned and assist in other outlets due to business needs.

Requirements

  • Age, Gaming and Certifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
  • Education and/or Experience: High school or equivalent degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred. Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail. Some related experience in luxury resort or product setting preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, respond to inquiries, write detailed instructions and correspondence, and present information in one-on-one and group situations. Fluency in English required, second language a plus.
  • Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
  • Physical Demands: Moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least thirty (30) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking.
