About the role

As a Plant Operator at Hall’s Culligan, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by performing various tasks related to inventory management, bottling, portable exchange tank regeneration, and customer service. You’ll be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and shipping products while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

This role is highly labor-intensive, requiring strong physical stamina. The physical demands include regular lifting up to 75 lbs, carrying and moving heavy items, long periods of standing and walking, and frequent kneeling and bending. You’ll work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, potential noise from equipment and machinery, and slick surfaces due to resin use.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management: Accurately receive, store, and organize inventory. Perform regular counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Order fulfillment: Monitor operation of the bottling or PE line and ensure quality control (where applicable). Reconcile shipping load sheets and receiving packing slips. Load and unload trucks.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals. Effectively communicate and provide support to fellow team members.
  • Time management: Prioritize tasks and efficiently use time to meet deadlines.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Keep tools and materials properly stored. Follow established procedures for inventory management and storage.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment safely and according to guidelines.

Requirements

  • Reliability and accountability: Must consistently show up for shifts on time, complete all tasks as assigned, and demonstrate dependability and trustworthiness.
  • Attention to detail: Accurately manage inventory and order fulfillment while ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack operation.
  • Comfortable using basic math to accomplish everyday tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in tasks, schedules, and procedures.
  • Must be physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position.
  • Must successfully pass criminal background check and drug screening checks, as well as any ongoing screenings per company requirements.
  • If driving a company vehicle, must be 18 years of age (21 years or older for route trucks) and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
