About the Role

As a Warehouse Recycling Associate, the primary function of this position is to ensure proper flow and processing of all recyclables/EPS in the Distribution Center. You will also use a tugger machine to process damaged products, maintain a clean work area, and promote a safe environment while upholding all department standards.

Location: Distribution Center (warehouse), Tamarac

Responsibilities

• Cardboard Processing (50%): Safely process cardboard weighing anywhere from 5 to 75 pounds.
• EPS Processing (15%): Process EPS (e.g., styrofoam) using an EPS recycling machine (5–30 lbs).
• Maintenance (10%): Use a blower to remove excess debris and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Damage Control (5%): Process damaged products and use a tugger to move products on carts to specific locations.
• Wood Processing (5%): Process wood using a wood chipping machine.
• Plastic Processing (5%): Safely process felt and plastic using a plastic baler machine.
• Trash Processing (5%): Safely process trash in a compactor and remove debris with a snow shovel.
• Adhere to all assigned Standard Work and Role Responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test.
• Education & Work Experience: High school diploma/GED or trade school completion. At least one year of experience in a related field.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 75 lbs
  • Tug bedding and soft carts
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Use of safety eyewear and composite-toe shoes

Schedule

• Tuesday through Saturday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Work on holidays is required (4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
• 40 hours per week

Pay

Starting base hourly rate: $17.25
