Warehouse Receiving Part Time 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–2:45 pm. Pay-for-performance program allows associates to earn additional compensation by meeting productivity thresholds.

About the role

Join the Staples World Class Supply Chain team as a Warehouse Associate. You may be assigned to any of the following areas:

• Warehouse Bulk / Material Handling Equipment Operator: Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs while adhering to safety procedures. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
• Warehouse Porter: Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility. Operate material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
• Warehouse Replenishment: Operate material handling equipment to pick and move product up to 100 lbs; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
• Warehouse Receiving / Putaway / Returns: Confirm product accuracy, address discrepancies and damages, and communicate professionally with internal and external contacts. Manually unload trucks, palletize products, and operate material handling equipment; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
• Warehouse Returns: Operate material handling equipment to move product, match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips, check in returned product, and tag it appropriately; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
• Shipping: Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets. Manually load trucks, lift and carry product in a fast-paced environment, and stack empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers to resolve issues and build strong relationships.
• Adhere to safety procedures and ensure safe work practices at all times.
• Work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.

Requirements

• Minimum three months of related experience in a warehouse environment, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible by law.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• If hired as a Full-Time associate, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift, including overtime as required by business needs.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70–100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or cherry pickers.

Pay

Starting pay: $22.50/hour.
